On August 6, 2020, JICA handed over 1,000 rubbing alcohol and 500 hand sanitizers. Along with these are 7 Ultra Violet Lights. These UV Lights were officially handed over on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 to the Ministry of Health. During the pandemic, JICA hopes these medical supplies will help the Belau National Hospital provide a safer environment for its patients.
This assistance was made possible through Clarette Matlab, Chief Pharmacist of the Belau National Hospital, who participated in on of the JICA Group Training course. Being an ex-participant of JICA training allows her to apply for follow-up assistance.
