On August 19, the black belt holders from JS Ariake took part in a special training session with the Palau Judo Federation. The crews, who were visiting Palau, joined local judo students for an hour-long practice session that featured drills, techniques, and sparring.
The session was more than just an exchange of skills; it was an opportunity to strengthen cultural ties and build camaraderie through the sport of judo. The crews also made a generous donation of judo uniforms to the Palau Judo Federation, helping to support the development of the sport in the country.
The Palau Judo Federation expressed their gratitude for the crew’s involvement and the donation, noting that such interactions greatly benefit the young athletes by providing them with exposure to international techniques and practices.
This visit and exchange further exemplify the strong relationship between Palau and Japan, extending beyond formal engagements into the realm of sports and cultural exchange.
