His Majesty, King Charles extends his warmest congratulations to the people of the Republic of Palau as they celebrate their 29th Independence Day on 1 October.
In his message, King Charles emphasized to continuing friendship and partnership between the United Kingdom and Palau, working together through challenging times.
The message was transmitted to President Surangel Whipps Jr. from British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils, who wished every success for the country’s Independence Day celebrations. She looks forward to returning to Palau soon.
Minister of State for the Indo-Pacific Anne-Marie Trevelyan also sent her best wishes to the people of Palau, pledging the UK’s continued support in promoting inclusive economic development, regional peace and security, and addressing climate change.
