Koror State Rangers and Conservation Officers (COs)were once again reminded with their main duties and responsibilities during their quarterly inspection yesterday, September 12.

Koror State Government’s Conservation and Law Enforcement Director Jennifer Olegeriil told Island Times that the inspection is very important as it is also an opportunity to remind the Rangers and the Cos of their integrity, discipline, and honesty in delivering public service.

Koror State Governor Franco Gibbons, who was also present during the inspection, told Island Times that the people from Koror are very proud of the officers for showing discipline and integrity.

When there are emergencies outside Koror, the rangers are the ones that respond to the incident, Gibbons said, adding that his office and the people of Palau appreciates the work they are doing.

During the inspection, Director Olegeriil meticulously checked each of the officers’ appearance, checking important details on the proper way of wearing their uniforms.

According to Olegeriil, rangers have to maintain appearance and clean cut as part of their discipline. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
