Koror, Palau – Palau High School students can now feel safe having the new Bus Stop built with the help of Koror State Government.  During the cutting ribbon ceremony held on Tuesday December 2, 2019 Minister of Education Sinton Soalablai gave a much appreciation remarks on behalf of the students and their parents to the Koror State Government Governor Franco Gibbons and the State legislators for their generous contribution of $25K made towards completion of the Bus stop.

Mr. Smyth Rdang, Palau High School Principal expressed similar gratitude on behalf of the students and teachers. Additional gratitude was expressed to the members and officers of the Melekeok Ngerubesang Men’s Club for their assistance in clearing large trees making way for the construction of this much needed facility for the students. Principal Rdang also acknowledged the contribution made by State legislator Ms. Jennifer Akiwo representing Medalaii Hamlet who provided invaluable assistance in mobilizing heavy equipments to clear debris before the construction of Bus stop began about a year ago.

Members of the Ngerubesang Men’s Club with their President Mr. Jefferson Thomas, Melekeok State Legislator Frutoso Tellei and State Governor Henaro Polloi along with their Traditional Chief Ngiraingas Villiany Thomas donated their time and Club equipment worth $5K towards completion of this new student Bus Stop. The newly built Bus Stop is situated in front of the PHS multi-purpose building for students’ easy access to school buses during rainy days.  Students can now enjoy a comfortable and safe Bus Stop unlike before where they had to endure heat and or rain everyday to catch the bus.
