In its bid to support solid waste management initiatives in Palau, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has sent out senior volunteers that could assist in furthering works of the Koror State Recycling Center.
JICA’s third senior volunteer to work with the Koror Recycling Center, Koji Mizutani, is now introducing other techniques that support glass craft and art.
Mizutani replaced former senior volunteer at the center, Sachio Motohiro, who had already returned to Japan. Motohiro previously instructed glass staining and other glass crafts during his stint as volunteer at the center.
Since its inception, the recycling center offers a glass recycling class by using used empty bottles.
