March 30, 2017 (Koror, Palau) Citing implementation of the 14th Constitutional Amendment mandating separation of an Appellate Court, a bill signed into law sets salaries for the new Appellate justices but also increased compensation for all other justices. [/restrict]
The now RPPL 10-03 sets the salary of the Presiding Justice of the Trial Division at not less than $70,000 and no more than $85,000 a year. It also set salaries of the Associate Justice of the Trial Division at not less than $60,000 and no more than $80,000.
Furthermore, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division will receive annual salary of not less than $60,000 and no more than $85,000.
Chief Justice shall receive an annual salary not to exceed $90,000. [/restrict]
