KOROR, Palau (July 20, 2026)— Sonsorol State continues to set the pace at the 2026 Belau Games, holding onto the overall lead with a commanding medal haul of 64 gold, 36 silver and 25 bronze medals as the competition enters its final stretch.
Koror State sits in second place with 51 gold, 50 silver and 36 bronze medals, while Airai State rounds out the top three with 33 gold, 26 silver and 26 bronze medals.
The standings have shifted throughout the Games as states battle for podium position across multiple sporting events. Sonsorol has built a strong lead, maintaining first place for the past four days, while Koror and Airai have traded positions in the rankings before Koror pulled ahead over the weekend.
The race for the top 10 continues with several states putting together strong performances.
Peleliu State holds fourth place with 20 gold medals, followed by Hatohobei in fifth with 15 gold medals. Aimeliik ranks sixth with 12 gold medals, while Ngaraard and Ngeremlengui are tied with 11 gold medals each. Ngaraard currently holds the advantage over Ngeremlengui based on the overall medal count.
Kayangel State is in ninth place with six gold medals, while Melekeok rounds out the top 10 with five gold medals.
With medal events still underway, the leaderboard remains competitive as states continue their push for championship honors at the 2026 Belau Games.
