Loren Reksid Ngirmekur, a 32-year-old man from Airai, was arrested last week and charged for alleged kidnapping and rape of an 18-year-old girl on May 13, according to charges filed by the Office of the Attorney General last week.

Charges filed against Mr. Ngirmekur include Sexual Assault in the First Degree and Kidnapping.  Both are Class A felonies punishable by 25 years imprisonment without possibility of suspension of the sentence and optional fine of up to $50,000.

According to police affidavit filed by Police Officer Jeremy Desebel, the alleged victim, an 18-year-old girl, was found running on the road near KB Shell on the night of May 13th wearing only a blouse and bra.  Three men on their way to work found her and the girl informed them that she had been raped and was taken to the Emergency room.

The victim informed the police that she was travelling with her boyfriend Bells Camacho and defendant Loren Reksid Ngirmekur toward Koror in defendant Ngirmekur’s car when they got into an accident.

Alleged victim reported that after the accident they began to walk and the victim was hoping the defendant would find a car to take her home.  According to her, her boyfriend walked away leaving her with the defendant.

As both alleged victim and defendant were walking toward KB Shell they reached the small forest between Surangel Marina and NECO True Value Store when defendant Ngirmekur grabbed her from behind, strangled her and dragged her into the forest.

According to the victim’s report, she passed out from being strangled and when she gained consciousness the defendant was pulling her pants off. When she fought back, she was strangled again until she lost consciousness.

Victim reported she regained consciousness to find defendant on top of her raping her.  She fought him and managed to get away from his grip and ran into the light leaving her short pants, underwear, shoes and cellular phone.

Medical report stated that the victim had bruises and scratches on her face, bruises around her neck and all over her back including scratches and dried blood.

Victim’s clothing and other personal items were recovered from the alleged scene of the crime.

Meanwhile, police located defendant Loren Rekis Ngirmekur and according to the police report, he admitted to choking the victim and taking her into the forest because “he wanted to have sex with her.”

Mr. Loren Ngirmekur was also charged in another crime earlier this month of Robbery in the First Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in the First Degree.
