KOROR, Palau — The Office of the Attorney General has filed four criminal charges against a man accused of threatening, assaulting, and stealing from a woman in a series of incidents that occurred between May 7 and May 9, 2025, in Koror.

According to court documents, Jemmy Isaac faces felony and misdemeanor charges including terroristic threatening, harassment, burglary, and theft involving a victim identified as Amei Charlie McReady.

The most serious allegation, filed as Count One, accuses Isaac of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, a Class C felony. Prosecutors say that on or about May 7, Isaac repeatedly threatened to burn McReady’s house and boat and to kill her. The charge carries a possible sentence of one to five years in prison and an optional fine of up to $10,000.

Count Two charges Isaac with Harassment, a misdemeanor, for allegedly grabbing McReady’s wrist on May 8 during a confrontation in which he also demanded money and threatened her. The physical contact caused a bracelet to cut her arm, according to police.

Count Three, Burglary in the Second Degree, alleges that on May 9, Isaac unlawfully entered McReady’s home in Ngerbodel, Koror, intending to commit theft. Witness statements, including one from an individual identified as Jessy Isaac, indicate that Jemmy Isaac broke in using a screwdriver and took a pack of Doral Lights cigarettes. Officers later found Isaac outside the residence with the cigarettes in his pocket. This burglary charge is also a Class C felony.

The final charge, Theft in the Fourth Degree, a petty misdemeanor, stems from the alleged theft of the cigarette pack, which police say McReady had intentionally left in plain sight to confirm her suspicions that Isaac was stealing from her. The value of the stolen item did not exceed $100.

In an affidavit of probable cause, Officer Siegal M. Masang of the Bureau of Public Safety stated that McReady reported ongoing threats and thefts by Isaac and expressed fear for her safety. The officer documented injuries to McReady’s arm and noted that Isaac is currently on supervised probation.

Prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant, citing the seriousness of the offenses and Isaac’s prior criminal record.

The case was filed in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Palau on May 10, 2025. Isaac remains in custody at the Koror Jail pending further court proceedings.
