Middle aged man fell of KB Bridge during yesterday’s Independence Day Boat race event confirmed Ministry of Justice Public Information officer Jose Ise.   He has been identified as Randy Alexander, 46 year-old Palauan male.

During the boat race, a man fell from the top of KB Bridge into the water.  The man who was suspected to have been drunk, fell down into the water closer toward Koror side of the bridge and missed the concrete base standing by about 15 feet.

“The man is fine; he fell near the cemented area so he wasn’t too high” said MOJ PIO Ise.

“He was very lucky,” said Salvador Tellames who was covering the event on his radio and tv channel.   “He not only missed the concrete, he also missed the speeding boats that have just passed,” added Tellames.

Man was brought straight to the hospital right after being taken out of the water. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
