With 208 specimens collected and tested negative of COVID-19, Palau’s leadership is displaying increased level of confidence and announcing activities planned for the month of May.
The State of the Republic Address (SORA) is announced to be held on April 30th, this Thursday at the national capital.
Next day following the SORA, will be the nationwide election to amend the Palau’s national constitution amending the language used to mark Palau’s national boundaries.
On May 5, the Senior Citizen’s Day will be celebrated island-wide. President Remengesau encouraged celebrating the day with seniors.
Minister of Education Sinton Soalablai announced that Palau High School graduation will take place on May 21st and said they are going to meet and encourage private high schools to hold their graduations within that week as well.
Minister of Health Dr. Emais Roberts encourage more activities but exercising the precautions such as washing hands, using sanitizers, staying home if sick, practice social distancing and other practices that protects against COVID-19 but have also protect against other illnesses.
