A Palauan woman who was arrested last month for allegedly trafficking meth had been linked to another drug-related case after authorities found 42 grams of meth in a prison cell she shares with three other prisoners on Friday last week.
Happy Fritz, who is now in Koror jail after 50 grams of meth was found in her body on April 20, is yet again implicated in a drug case along with three other inmates whose names are yet to be acquired by Island Times.
Narcotics Enforcement Agency (NEA) Detective Miwa Nebayama said thatthey are still to confirm if the meth belonged to Fritz or the other three inmates. However, he was quick to add that out of the four inmates, it was only Fritz who allegedly had links to methamphetamine.
Nebayama clarified that part of the reason they could not confirm Fritz’s involvement in the recent incident is also because he believes that there are other inmates who might be connected to meth but are in custody for different cases.
Meanwhile, there are sources who speculated that it was undetected additional meth that Fritz possessed in her body which has now been found.
Although the prison has been on lockdown since an inmate was attacked by other prisoners in March, they are not closing the possibility that it could had come from an outsider.
There has been no visitation allowed and the Correctional Facility officials are unsure till when they plan to keep it on a locked down.
The court had imposed a $5,000 bail bond for Fritz but she was not bailed out and remains to be in custody.(By Eshan Kalyanikar)
