KOROR, Palau — The Ministry of Finance will host its annual symposium on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center under the theme From Recovery to Growth: Unlocking Palau’s Prosperity.
The event will spotlight initiatives aimed at transitioning Palau from economic recovery to sustained growth. Attendees can participate in interactive discussions, activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions designed to foster engagement and innovation.
Preceding the symposium, side events on Wednesday, Nov. 20, will bring together diverse stakeholders, including youth, media, private businesses, community members, Ministry of Finance officials, and representatives from Graduate School USA. The forum will focus on Palau’s tax policies, offering an inclusive platform to discuss their current state and explore future directions.
A youth-centered activity will introduce participants to the complexities of national budgeting. The exercise aims to educate young people on the decision-making processes involved in crafting a national budget, highlighting the considerations and trade-offs required.
The symposium is open to the public, offering an opportunity for the community to engage in shaping Palau’s economic future.
