PNSB recently completed its final review of scholarship applications postmarked before the July 31st deadline and received within 30 days after the deadline as permissible under the existing PNSB Regulations. In addition to the six students who received full scholarships from the Palau National Scholarship Board whose names were previously published, Ms. Corliss Reichi was also selected to receive a full scholarship for this school year, 2023-2024. Ms. Reichi is a junior at the Adventist University of the Philippines, majoring in nursing. Her outstanding grades and high-priority major enabled her to be selected as a full scholarship recipient.
So far, the Scholarship Board has reviewed applications from over 257 students. Of these, 215 students, or eighty-four percent of the applicants, were declared eligible to receive PNSB financial assistance to help pay for their college education. Over 1.5 million dollars has been paid out to these recipients to help cover the first semester expenses of this school year. Recipients of PNSB must be Palauan citizens enrolled in college full-time and keep their cumulative GPA over 2.0 to receive support. The next semester’s award will be awarded at the beginning of the spring 2024 semester or winter quarter, provided the student maintains his or her enrollment as proven by submitting grade reports/transcripts and class schedules.
