“We are pleased that this large contract award has been executed to support mission critical base operations and maintenance on Naval Base Guam and Andersen Air Force Base,” said NAVFAC Marianas Commanding Officer Capt. Stephanie Jones.
According to NAVFAC Pacific, the contract provides facility support and base operating support for a variety of services including management and administration, port operations, ordnance, material management, facility management, facility investment, electrical, wastewater, steam, water, base support vehicles and equipment, and environmental.
This contract action is a re-award as a result of corrective action taken by NAVFAC Pacific due to Government Accountability Office (GAO) protests, which were dismissed on March 30, 2016.
“The contractor was selected using Best Value Source Selection procedures outlined in the solicitation,” said Jones. “The award for this procurement was based on technical factors and price, which together constitute best value to the government.”
The maximum dollar value including the base period, four option periods, three award option periods and a six-month services extension is $491.8 million. Work will be performed in various locations on the island of Guam and is expected to be completed by March 2025. [/restrict]
