Bureau of Public Safety (BPS) Director Alloysius Alonz said that their office had been reminding the public to refrain from driving especially when they are drinking alcohol, noting that most vehicular accidents recently occurred in the newly repaired roads.
“The new road…starting from old Neco all the way to Airai has been resurfaced and is very smooth and people tend to drive fast on that kind of road,” Alonz said, adding that in the last couple of weeks, there has been some car accidents on the mentioned newly resurfaced road.
“Although the road is smooth, it was not meant for racing. It was meant for comfort,” Alonz emphasized.
