On the morning of Sunday, June 21, 76 residents of Palau gathered for a 1-hour yoga session at the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center to celebrate International Day of Yoga.
Marking its 6th annual celebration, the event was organized by the Embassy of India- Philippines, the Ministry of Health, and Honorary Councilors of India to Palau. The session included an hour of guided yoga by Ms. Yoko Tomita, followed by a complimentary Indian breakfast for all participants at the Taj.
Robert John Scaria, Honorary Counsel for Palau to India and owner of the Taj restaurant in Koror, mentioned that the 76 local and international participants were extremely happy and enjoyed the yoga session.
“I would like to see more Palauans be part of it next year,” he said.
