This is the 7th year that the Palau National Scholarship Board has administered the Ngeremlengui State Scholarship (NSS). The Government of Ngeremlengui State created this scholarship to support its young people in reaching their educational goals. The eligibility criteria requires the recipient to be a graduating high school senior from Ngeremlengui, State, with at least one parent who is a registered voter of Ngeremlengui.
The student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and must have been accepted to a post-secondary institution. As a recipient of NSS, the student shall receive a one-time award of $1,000.00 paid at the beginning of fall semester. Ms. Kara Vereen was chosen as this year’s scholarship recipient.
PNSB Secretary Emilia A. Katosang, PNSB Members Caroline S. Skebong and Joseph Anastacio witnessed the scholarship check being presented by Legislator Mesiwal Madlutk of the Ngeremlengui State Government to the recipient’s proud Mother Witness Elbelau. Ms. Kara Vereen is presently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Guam.
