Daemi Meresob Ngirmidol, Project Coordinator at the Division of Coastal Fisheries, Bureau of Fisheries, has been accepted to attend a JICA Knowledge Co-creation Program called Sustainable Fisheries Development (Young Leader’s Program). 

This program is designed for the administrative organization and its administrators to recognize the current status and issues of skipjack resources by applying scientific research and analysis, understanding the industry-academia-government initiatives implemented in Kochi, Japan for skipjack resource management, and considering how to improve management method and practice for conserving skipjack resources in their countries. 

Participants will learn to facilitate sustainable management of skipjack resources by gaining practical knowledge about how to conduct scientific research and analysis on skipjack resources management and understanding the industrial promotion initiatives of industry-government-academia partnership in Kochi, Japan.  The training will be held on September 10 to October 3.
