The  two top Palau police officers,Public Safety Director Aloysius Alonz and Fire and Rescue Chief Godwin Philip,that went to provide assistance to Yap State police in the search for the missing Palauan woman and her grandchild, returned to Palau last week.

According to information from the Office of the Vice President, search to date have not yielded any results.  The only information obtained was that the woman and her grandchild were last seen on the beach.

They were first reported missing on October 3, 2019 and Yap police is said to have conducted a search for 5 days with no positive results.  On October 21st , Palau government, in a letter to Yap State government, urged for continued search of the missing persons.  In the second week of November, Palau sent its own police officers to assist in the investigation.

Minister of Justice Raynold Oilouch is said to request the FSM national police to assist in the investigation of the whereabouts of these missing Palauan nationals.
