(Koror, Palau) An off-duty police officer Chris Pablo was assaulted and stabbed near Topside Mobil Gas station on the night of November 6, 2016 according to police report.
The attackers Shane Rechebong and Kobe Marbou were arrested and charged with two counts of Assaults in the Third Degree and one count of Harassment, all misdemeanor charges.

In an affidavit provided by Officer Jonathan You, four individuals, Kobe Marbou, Shane Rebechong, David Mao and Jazzrah Andry drove to Mobil Topside area after they left Sunset Park to Mobil Topside.
At Topside, Kobe Marbou stopped a guy and asked for cigarette. The guy identified to be off-duty officer Pablo, gave them cigarettes and walked away.
According to Chris Pablo, after he left, he heard yelling and when he turned around Shane Rebechong attacked him. He fell to the ground and the rest began kicking and hitting him. He reported that Shane Rebechong attacked him in a stabbing motion. Mr. Pablo sustained bruises and cuts from the attack.
Shortly after, the police arrived and apprehended the four individuals and took them into custody. A small silver 6 inch knife was found near the area where they arrested the suspects.
The two suspects charged in this case have other pending charges against them. Kobe Marbou have two other cases carrying charges of Assault in First Degree and Assault in Second Degree. The cases involved assaults with machete and beating and stabbing incidents. Shane Rebechong has a pending case carrying drug trafficking and possession charges. [/restrict]
