Incumbent Governor Francesca R. Otong leads in the race for the Office of Governor of Ngatpang State by eight votes over contender Jersey Iyar, according to unofficial results of the Ngatpang General Election, held yesterday, December 8, 2022.
Candidates for the At-Large seats, the top nine are Edwin Arurang with 210 votes, John Techitong with 195, Elin Kloulechad with 184, Razi “C-Boy” Rimirch with 172, Della Kyota with 160, Van-Ray Tado with 158, Carlo D. Otobed with 145, Jerry Nabeyama with 129 and Jenkins Emesiochel with 112. Two others that didn’t make the top nine roster are Siles Ngiraremiang, with 105 votes, and Hera Subediang, with 96 votes.
Two hundred sixty-three (263) votes were cast out of five hundred thirty-eight registered voters. The unofficial number do not include absentee ballots or confined votes. These will be opened and counted next Tuesday. (By: L.N. Reklai)
