The Ministry of Education (MOE) said that it is expecting around 530 public and private teachers and educational staff to participate in the upcoming 25th Education Convention slated July 23-25.

MOE Chief of School Management Raynold Mechol told Island Times that the ministry is now preparing for the several activities prepared for the event including sending out invitations to certain individuals to deliver keynote speech and conduct workshops.

“This being the 25th anniversary, we are looking for somebody who has good knowledge on education system in Palau so the person can give us his/her insights,” Mechol said.

Mechol added that the annual convention is conducted two weeks prior to the beginning of a school year to help teachers prepare. The next school year will commence August 5.

During the convention, MOE will also report on several work progress of the ministry. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
