He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. Jim Elliot

A growing body of research suggests that trauma (like from childhood abuse, family violence, or food insecurity, among many other things) can be passed from one generation to the next.  Here’s how: Trauma can leave a chemical mark on a person’s genes, which can then be passed down to future generations.

This mark doesn’t cause a genetic mutation, but it does alter the mechanism by which the gene is expressed. This alteration is not genetic, but epigenetic. Epigenetic is a study of how your behavior and environment can cause changes that affect the way your genes work.

When I was a child my father said me, “God knows everything. He stretched out his hand and put all the stars in place and named them one by one.”

When I was in my 40s, I heard a preacher say,  “There are six things God doesn’t know.” What?  Here’s the list:

God doesn’t know a sinner he can’t love. He doesn’t know a broken heart he can’t mend. He doesn’t know a fallen tear he can’t dry. God doesn’t know a place he can’t be in a moment’s time, To meet your every need.

My dear Lord Jesus, I come to you now to be restored in you, renewed in you, to receive from you all the grace and mercy I so desperately need this day.

Father, I agree with your relentless love, your relentless pursuit—that you will stop at nothing to continue to open the doorway to invite me home, for me to give access to the whole person, to be made whole, to be integrated, to be set apart for your purpose you designed for me before you put the stars in place.

I ask you GOD TO PLEASE

○ Heal my mind

○ Mend my broken heart

○ Order my every step

○ Teach me to trust you.

And please LORD bless our children and grandchildren, the third generations from a second world war-torn country. My parents hid in caves for fear of bombings and gunshots. They suffered hunger and fear.  Many children died of hunger and weird diseases. Heal our traumas of war LORD.

EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS.

Boluaisei 🙏🏻
