On January 15 – 17, 2018 Palau High School teachers, administration and MOE central office personnel attended a workshop at the Palau High School Multipurpose Building on gathering and utilizing student data to assist them in ensuring learning success for all students. [restrict]

In line with the Education Master Plan 2017-2026 strategic goals to strengthen teacher effectiveness and professionalism, and to enhance classroom instruction with a focus on enrichment and skill reinforcement, the training covered topics such as understanding the various types of data available to teachers within their classrooms and how to utilize daily learning targets and exit slips to assess student learning on a daily basis.

This workshop was a follow up to one that was conducted on August 7 – 9, 2017 that covered topics on team building, classroom environments, classroom management and professional learning communities. These workshops were conducted by Ms. Cathy Tooley, owner of Tools for Success, a company based in Indiana that provides professional development to various schools in the United States on strategies for ensuring all students succeed in school.
