KOROR, Palau — Human resource professionals from Palau’s private, public, and semi-autonomous sectors have officially launched the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Palau Chapter. The organization seeks to provide a platform for HR professionals to network, share knowledge, and promote professional development, collaboration, and advocacy within Palau’s human resources field.
The chapter is committed to advancing the HR profession in Palau, promoting best practices in human resource management, and contributing to the overall development of the Palauan workforce.
Leading the newly formed chapter are President Marleen Ngirametuker from Surangel & Sons Company, Vice President Motol Brell from Palau Pacific Resort, and Secretary/Treasurer Lianne Edeyaoch from Palau Central Hotel.
“We are excited to formally launch the Society for Human Resource Management – Palau Chapter,” said Ngirametuker. “This organization represents a significant step forward for HR professionals in Palau, and we look forward to working together to elevate the HR profession, create better workplaces, and strengthen our workforce.”
Ngirametuker also extended an invitation to HR professionals, whether current, former, or aspiring, who were unable to attend the launch event.
