August 8, 2016 (Koror) Palau Post Office has made available for the very first time its own postal package box with its own logo on it. “I am very happy to inform everyone that Palau’s very own postal packing boxes will be available soon,” reported Postmaster General Timothy Sinsak.

“Since US Postal Service discontinued issuing USPS package boxes to Palau, it had urged Palau as well as other FAS countries to create their own postal package boxes. Palau is the first one to have its own among all the FAS countries,” added Postmaster General Sinsak.
The packaging boxes will be available for sale on Monday, August 15, 2016. Each box costs $2.25. According to Postmaster, these boxes are medium size (same as USPS Priority Mail boxes of medium size) and can handle up to 12lbs. These are made by the same company that makes the USPS package boxes.
“These boxes introduce Palau to the global postal system and to the world. Palau’s post office website is printed on the box and people can access information on Palau such as Palau’s postage stamps and other good information from this,” added Postmaster Sinsak. [/restrict]
