Another shocking and tragic news hits families, friends, and colleagues of a promising young man, who was found dead early Wednesday morning, May 4rd of self-harm.
The young man, in his mid-30s, Rekoi Estrada Kuartei, was found early Wednesday morning by his wife, hanging in a tree a few feet away from their house. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The initial report of the young man’s demise was made by Vice President Uduch Sengebau-Senior who was visibly upset about the news. She lauded Kuartei saying that he was a very smart young man whom she helped recruit to work as an assistant clerk of the Senate when she was a Senator.
Kuartei is a US Army veteran and had worked at the Clerk of Courts. He was working for the National Development Bank of Palau when he passed away.
The young man, Rekoi Estrada Kuartei, leaves behind a wife Weilyn and three young children.
His death marked the fourth case this year of deaths caused by self-harm or suicide.
