Hundreds of Small Business Development Centers around the United States and its territories celebrated the 2nd SBDC Day on March 21, 2018.
The celebration united around 1,000 SBDCs across the country and the hundreds of thousands of clients they’ve served in their near 40-year history.

Since 1980, 63 state and regional Small Business Development Center networks have provided free one-on-one consulting to small businesses at nearly 1,000 locations throughout the nation.
Palau SBDC celebrated SBDC by offering a free (no fee) workshop at the Penthouse Hotel’s Conference Room. The workshop was conducted by Ltelatk “Lte” Fritz, Palau’s Center Director and Certified Small Business Advisor, was entitled “Introduction to Excel.” The workshop was attended by 13 staff and employees from the various offices under the Palau Supreme Court. Some of the training attendees brought their own laptops to participate in the hands-on training, while Palau SBDC provided additional laptops. The participants joined the Palau SBDC staff in celebrating SBDC Day with a small cake at the end of the workshop.
The Pacific Islands Small Business Development Network (PISBDCN) and Guam SBDC will be celebrating SBDC Day on Friday, March 30, 2018 by presenting a resolution to Guam’s Legislature to honor the efforts of all the SBDC Centers in the Region, as well as the United States.
In 2017, the Palau SBDC consulted over 63 entrepreneurs which accounted for 6 business starts, 16 jobs created, and $ 173,615 in facilitated capital funding.
