KOROR, Palau — Chief Sanya Olkeriil of Palau’s Division of Juvenile Justice has been accepted to the prestigious 11-week training program at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, making her the first female officer from Palau to attend.

Justice Minister Jennifer Olegeriil announced the milestone, noting that the training will run from June 24 to September. She highlighted Palau’s strong representation at the FBI Academy, stating that the country has sent more officers than any other in Micronesia.

Previous Palauan graduates of the program include the late Bureau of Public Safety Director Kaoru Brell, the late Lt. Detective Willy Hays Towai, Detective Rechecked, and the most recent graduate, Detective Lt. Lebuu Gibbons.
