Tourism in Palau has reached a significant milestone, with visitor arrivals surpassing half of pre-pandemic levels as of November 2024. According to the Palau Visitors Authority, 50,541 visitors arrived in the country this year, compared to 93,723 in 2019.

November 2024 marked a strong month for tourism, recording 4,651 visitors. This figure represents a 7% increase from October 2024 and a 21% rise compared to November 2023.

China remained the largest source of visitors, contributing 25% of the total arrivals. Taiwan followed closely, accounting for 23%. Visitors from the United States and Canada made up 17% of the total, reflecting steady interest from North America.

Japan showed a positive trend, increasing its share to 13%, while the European market contributed 11%, indicating growth in that region. Other markets collectively accounted for 10% of arrivals.

South Korea remained the smallest source market, contributing just 1% of total arrivals in November 2024.
