The Parliament of Vanuatu is inviting the members of the Olbiil Era Kelulau  (OEK) to take part in the upcoming meeting in Port Vila with the coordination of World Health Organization (WHO) Regional office for the Secretariat.

In a letter to Senate President Hokkons Baules.  Vanuatu Speaker of the Parliament Seoule Simeon invited lawmakers to the meeting which he said would help strengthen health workforce in the region.

“The Forum brings parliamentarians together to exchange ideas , build political support, strengthen capacities and foster collaboration in driving sustainable action for health,”  Simeon said.

He added that members of the parliament all over the region will also have the opportunity to share their experiences and discuss ways to enhance their role to help build action for a well-performing health workforce.

The meeting will be from September 4 to 6.

WHO will provide technical and administrative assistance during the meeting. WHO will also provide travel costs, accommodation and daily allowance for the duration of the meeting including travel time.

Vanuatu is also inviting lawmakers from other nations such as Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and the Philippines.
