Special Advisor to Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrived in Palau last night to meet government officials and discuss possible improvements in the areas of marine law enforcement.
Vice President Raynold Oilouch revealed that Special Advisor to Japan Prime Minister Abe, Kentaro Sonoura, will be attending several meetings and a marine law training today, January 15.
Sonoura is scheduled to meet Oilouch first thing today since President Tommy Remengesau, Jr. is currently in Saipan to attend the inauguration of Governor Ralph Torres.
Sonoura will also attend the Mobile Corporation Team Training conducted by the Japan Coast Guard at the Marine Law building.
“He is interested in coming to see our Marine Law and see what other systems they can provide to improve our work there,” Oilouch said.
Oilouch also said that President Remengesau is also bound for Japan for an official visit after attending the inauguration in Saipan. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
