Palau National Communications Corporation (PNCC) will celebrate thirty-five years of connecting Palau to the world on August 23, 2017. PNCC was established in 1982 under RPPL 1-40 to modernize Palau’s telecommunications nationwide. Beginning with only 200 telephone lines in 1982, PNCC now serves more than 40,000 subscriptions for Internet, telephone, mobile, and digital TV. [/restrict]
In thanks for all the years of support, the company will offer several customer appreciation activities during the month of August. There will be prize drawings for Airtime and Internet cards, and a grand prize drawing at the end of August for 4G smartphones.
Two new premium channels will be on free preview to all Basic subscribers throughout August: CinemaWorld on Channel 14 (the best of international movies), and NBC2 on Channel 18 (same day U.S. shows broadcast in primetime hours).
Free or discounted sign-up specials are offered till August 31 for PalauCel plans (775), as low as $20 per month with free texting; PalauNet plans (for log on to WiFi Hotspots and HomeNet); DSL Internet, and Digital TV.
PNCC’s anniversary specials also include a photo and directory cover contest that ends August 31, offering $100 Internet or Airtime cards for the winning photos of people using telephones, smartphones, Internet, and TV. The directory cover contest winner will receive $300. Contest rules and entry forms are available at PNCC offices in Koror and Airai.
PNCC offices will be closed on Wednesday August 23, in observance of the PNCC Anniversary date.
