Palau National Scholarship Board has finished reviewing and awarding all the completed applications for this new school year 2023-2024. So far, the Scholarship Board is happy to report that among this year’s recipients are 6 outstanding students who were awarded FULL scholarships. A recipient of the Palau FULL Scholarship must be at least in his or her junior/senior college standing, major in a priority field, maintain full-time enrollment with at least a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher.
Based on these qualifications, PNSB awards the FULL scholarship according to the amount certified as the financial need of the student. PNSB disburses the first half of the scholarship award in the beginning of fall semester. The remaining half will be awarded at the beginning of the spring semester provided the student maintains his or her enrollment as proven by the submission of grade reports/transcripts and class schedules.
The Board reports that for this semester (fall 2023), PNSB has awarded over 1.1 million dollars to 165 students or about 72% of the applicants. Of the 165 recipients, there is one student in law school, two medical students in US medical school, and two medical students in Cuba. PNSB provides supplemental financial assistance for Palauan citizens enrolled in fulltime degree-seeking college programs.
