Palau Pacific Resort celebrated its 35th year anniversary with a cocktail reception attended by Palau leaders of both public and private sector as well as its guests and associates on December 13th of this year.

“Palau Pacific Resort embodies the Pristine Paradise Palau brand, quality over quantity,” stated President Tommy E. Remengesau Jr. in his special remarks celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Palau Pacific Resort.

He remarked that the vision Palau Pacific Resort has had from the beginning until now is exactly what Palau envisions for itself and he commends PPR’s drive for excellence, saying that it sets the standard for the tourism industry.

Lucy Sugiyama, General Manager of Palau Pacific Resort, said that Palau Pacific Resort’s culture “is to always aim at new heights of excellence.”

She added that the culture of excellence is possible through the strong dedication of over 260 PPR associates (employees).

“Business as usual is no longer option,” expressed Sugiyama, saying that PPR will overcome challenges in the daunting tourism landscape and capitalize on opportunities to bring PPR to new heights of success.

As part of its celebration, PPR donated over $1,000 dollars from the registration of the Walk-For-Life event held to commemorate their anniversary to Palau Track & Field Association.  The fund was matched by Palau leaders with pledge to raise to $3,000.

Event was attended by President Remengesau, First lady Debbie Remengesau, High Chief Reklai Bao Ngirmang and Dirraudes, Bilung Gloria Salii and many local and foreign dignitaries including many local businesses. (L.N. Reklai)
