Koror, Palau – [July 10 2025] – Palau Pacific Resort is pleased to announce the return of Peter Bonini as Director of Human Resources. Peter brings over 40 years of international leadership experience across luxury hotel operations, workforce development, and vocational education.
Peter began his hospitality career in some of Western Australia’s most prestigious venues, including the Weld Club and Burswood Resort Casino. He has since held senior roles at landmark properties such as Cable Beach Club (Broome), The Apollo (Newcastle), and the Esplanade Hotel (Albany).
A passionate advocate for education and professional training, Peter has mentored young talents for global competitions, including the IVTO World Skills Olympics in Switzerland and Korea. His commitment to excellence earned him the Tourism Training Australia National Trainer’s Award and the Training Excellence Award from the Great Southern Regional College.
Peter first joined Palau Pacific Resort back in 2005, where he made a lasting impact as Education Manager and later as Director of Human Resources. He played a key role in establishing Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts’ corporate training programs in Palau, was one of the founding member of the Palau Tourism & Hospitality School of Excellence, and securing international scholarships and internships to build capacity across the region.
A dual citizen of Australia and Italy, Peter brings a global outlook with a deep appreciation for cross-cultural collaboration, sustainable tourism, and inclusive workforce development. He is a firm believer in “sharing the wealth, knowledge, and opportunity” — a philosophy that aligns perfectly with Palau Pacific Resort’s commitment to nurturing talent and delivering world-class service.
