On Thursday November 21, 2024, sixteen PPUC employees received certificates for successfully completing the Pacific Lineman Training with three of them receiving their Pacific Master Lineman Certifications. The Pacific Linemen Training (PLT) is a program that provides classroom and hands-on training for linemen. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs.

This achievement is part of PPUC’s ongoing efforts to invest in its workforce through professional development and training initiatives. Employees who completed the PLT are better prepared to respond to emergencies, repair outages, and support infrastructure upgrades, ensuring reliable energy for homes and businesses across Palau.

Congratulations to the following employees: Oren Tewid Tewid, Philip Delmel Remeliik, Melissa Kerngel Malsol, Cody Elwais, Stanley Blelas, Wilan Kyota, Keyslee “Stu” Kewii, Hansen Uchel, Nathan Siliang, Hubert Rafael, Sherwin Wasai, Sasha Lirow, Ramon Manny Adelbai, Josiah Immanuel, Samuel Hesus and Indhira Ngirkelau. The three employees who received their Pacific Master Lineman certifications are Philip Delmel Remeliik, Wilan Kyota and Oren Tewid Tewid.
