On June 26-28, 2024, PPUC employees attended a workshop on Pacific Island Renewable Energy Grid Integration hosted by the Hawai’i Natural Energy Institute (HNEI). HNEI aims to support the Republic of Palau reach its renewable energy (RE) targets. The workshop consisted of in-person classroom sessions to identify and scope potential needs for follow-on support that HNEI may provide to each respective entity.
As we at PPUC transition towards RE, we are faced with new and uncommon challenges; mostly unforeseen and very unpredictable. In this regard, we need every support available specifically like this workshop that directly contributes to PPUC’s capacity building. Sustainable change can only be attained through empowering our professionals with the necessary knowledge, skills and resources to navigate the complexities of renewable energy integration.
