The Palau Red Cross Society (PRCS) is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its very first thrift store, happening on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 10AM to 3PM!
The new store will be located at the Emergency Relief Supplies Storage Warehouse & Training Center just past the National Emergency Management Office (NEMO). Doors will open with a wide selection of gently-used goods available at budget-friendly prices, ranging from $0.50 to $5.00. Please note that for now, cash payments only will be accepted.
Available items include:
- Clothing for children, women, and men
- Children’s books and toys
- Travel accessories
- Household items
- Kitchen wares
- …and much more!
Whether you’re looking for something practical or unique, there’s something for everyone — and every purchase supports the humanitarian work of PRCS.
To mark this special occasion, PRCS is also launching a Thrift Store Naming Contest and inviting the community to take part. Submit your most creative name idea with a short explanation by Wednesday, April 16, at 3:00 PM, and you could win a $100 cash prize! The winning name will be announced during the grand opening celebration.
