March 9, 2017 (Koror, Palau) Private corporation stepped in to help government fight ugly graffiti and defacing of public monuments and properties by providing reward money of $500 for information leading to the arrest of a person or persons that drew graffiti on the Palau-Japan Friendship Bridge Monument.


The monument and parts of KB Bridge were spray painted by vandals leading to public announcements from Ministry of Justice seeking to locate and arrest such individuals. Such vandalism is not restricted to this monument and is seen all over Koror and Babeldaob.

The monument was cleaned up the following day after it was defaced but Ministry of Justice and private corporation have teamed up to help put to stop to this vandalism that destroys the beauty of not only the public properties but the country as a whole.

Ministry of Justice continues to seek information leading to the arrest of person or persons who vandalized this monument and $500 dollar rewards is offered for such information. [/restrict]
