Ngiwal has two proposed amendments to their Constitution through a resolution adopted by not less than two-third (⅔) of members of the 20th Kelulul a Kiulul. To this effect, a law has been enacted to establish a Political Education Committee tasked to educate the citizens and voters of Ngiwal State about the substance, nature, and effect of the proposed amendments to the Ngiwal State Constitution. These proposed amendments to the Constitution shall be put on the ballot for voting in the upcoming Ngiwal General Election on July 9, 2024.
In an effort to ensure an informed electorate, the Committee will be launching a three-month educational awareness and outreach to provide citizens, residents and registered voters of Ngiwal State with all the information they need to make informed voting decisions.
“We are committed to achieving a high level of voter engagement and to exercise our power and fundamental right to vote,” says Marcia Inacio, Chairperson for the Political Education Committee. “The future of Ngiwal depends on an active and informed citizenry.”
