On May 9th, the Embassy of the Republic of China showed their generosity by donating $20,000 to Palau Conservation Society. A fellow champion of Environment Stewardship in our region, this donation goes primarily to the servicing of PCS’ marine boat which is a vital asset in conducting community projects and outreach. The asset has been in service for the past 15 years and is in need major overhaul including update of its safety features. With this support, not only will it ensure safety of staff and partners utilizing the boat but it will extend its useful life another 15 years.
The PCS Board of Directors and its management and staff are truly appreciative of this grand contribution and look forward to future collaborations with the Embassy of Republic of China to ensure “Healthy Ecosystem for a Healthy Palau”.
