Koror, Palau – August 8, 2024 – In a significant gesture of goodwill and environmental commitment, Her Excellency Ambassador Jessica Chienyi Lee of the Republic of China (Taiwan) supported Palau Conservation Society (PCS) by generously donating $10,000 in support of its conservation efforts.  With this contribution, the Republic of China (Taiwan) demonstrates its commitment in supporting and promoting sustainable development and conservation of Palau’s unique natural environment. “We are honored to partner with the Palau Conservation Society and are looking forward to further collaborations. Together, we have created success in the past and will continue to do so in the future.”

PCS Executive Director Elbuchel Sadang expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are grateful to the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their contribution to shaping the legacy and future of preserving and protecting the environment for a sustainable Palau.” He also emphasized the organization’s eagerness to expand its partnership with the Republic of China (Taiwan) such as partnering with NGO’s – highlighting the positive impact such collaborations could have on the environment.

As PCS celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year, it recognizes and extends its warm congratulations to the Republic of China (Taiwan) for 25 years of strong diplomatic ties with the Republic of Palau. It truly is a year of recognizing and strengthening the deep bond and common goal of advancing environmental sustainability and conservation efforts for the future of our nations.
