The Russian Federation has opened scholarship opportunities for Palau after a local expressed interest to apply for a scholarship to study in Moscow.
Russia’s Honorary Consul to Palau Seit Andres told Island Times that there are two ‘potential’ candidates from Palau who might be granted the scholarship.
Andres shared that the scholarship opportunity has been opened after a young Palauan applied for a Russian scholarship. If the application is successful, Andres said that this will be the first time that a Palauan national will be going to Russia to study.
The other candidate, who had just graduated this summer, is also now being assisted by the Russian Federation Embassy in Manila to get another scholarship slot.
Andres said that the scholarship offered by the Russian Federation will not only give young Palauans quality education but will also provide them the opportunity to be immersed in the culture of ‘one of the greatest nations.’ (By Rhealyn C. Pojas)
