Jevon I. Sato, Division of Protected Areas and Species Project Coordinator, and Ariel D. Siang, Bureau of Fisheries Administrative Specialist, have been accepted to JICA’s KCCP Young Leaders, Industrial Development through Local Resources.
Through this course, Sato and Siang will acquire basic knowledge of policies and an administrative system in Japan (Ama Town, Shimane Prefecture); acquire knowledge in administrative issues in regional area and sustainable development; they will be able to analyze several activities in Shimane Prefecture and understand the differences in promotion of regional resources; and finally produce an action plan.
They will be joined by participants from Kiribati, Nauru, Samoa, Honduras, Colombia, Egypt, Morocco, Comoros, Montenegro, Kyrgyz Republic, and Moldova from November 5 to 20, 2025.
