January 26, 2017 (Ngerulmud, Palau) 10th Senate has been busy in its first 2 session days.  On its first session day on the 24th of January, it adopted 9 bills in the first reading and on its second session day adopted 4 bills.

Bills include proposal to promote development of high-end accommodation, repeal Administrative Act for Election Commission, increase minimum wage, amend Privacy Act, amend position of Director of Public Safety among others.  Bills were referred to 8 standing committees created and adopted on January 19, 2016.

Senate standing committees include Ways & Means and Financial Matters Committee chaired by Senator Mark Rudimch and vice chaired by Senator Frank Kyota.  Members of the committee include Senators John Skebong, Stevenson Kuartei, Kerai Mariur, Aric Nakamura, Phillip Reklai and J. Uduch Senior.

Capital Improvement Projects Committee chair is Senator John Skebong and vice chaired by Senator Kerai Mariur.  Member senators include Mason Whipps, Regis Akitaya, Aric Nakamura, Frank Kyota and Phillip Reklai.

Health and Education Committee falls under the chairmanship of Senator Dr. Stevenson Kuartei and the vice chair is Senator Aric Nakamura.  Members include Senators J. Uduch Senior, Mark Rudimch, Kerai Mariur, Frank Kyota and Phillip Reklai.

Tourism Development Committee is chaired by Senator Phillip Reklai and the vice is Senator John Skebong.  Senators Rukebai Inabo, Stevenson Kuartei, Aric Nakamura, Mark Rudimch and Kerai Mariur are members.

Foreign Affairs and State Matters falls under the chairmanship of Senator Aric Nakamura.  Vice Chairman is Senator Kuartei, and other members include Senators Camsek Chin, John Skebong, Frank Kyota, Phillip Reklai and Mark Rudimch.

Resources, Commerce, Trade and Development falls under the chairmanship of Senator Frank Kyota.  Members include vice chairman Senator Mark Rudimch, Senator John Skebong, Senator Stevenson Kuartei, Senator Kerai Mariur, Senator Aric Nakamura and Senator Phillip Reklai.

Youth Affairs, Social Welfare and Culture is chaired by Senator J. Uduch Sengebau-Senior.  Members includes Vice chairman Phillip Reklai, senators John Skebong, Aric Nakamura, Stevenson Kuartei, Frank Kyota and Mark Rudimch.

Eighth committee, the Judiciary and Government Affairs is under the chairmanship of Senator Kerai Mariur and vice chairman J.Uduch Senior.  Members are senators Phillip Reklai, Mark Rudimch, Stevenson Kuartei, Frank Kyota and John Skebong. [/restrict]
