Seven senators-elects Camsek Chin, Regis Akitaya, Mason Whipps, Rukebai Inabo, Uduch Sengebau-Senior, Phillip Reklai and Kerai Mariur agreed to have Senator-elect Regis Akitaya be the new Senate President, former Vice President and Delegate Kerai Mariur as Senate Vice President and incumbent and also senator-elect Uduch Sengebau-Senior to be Floor leader of the 10th Senate of Olbiil Era Kelulau.
This may change according to latest Senate press release issued calling for another meeting of Senators-elects. “Due to requests from some Senators-Elect, the Senator’s Elect lunch meeting scheduled for December 12 has been rescheduled to December 16.”
Senators-Elects who were invited by sitting Senate President Camsek Chin for a meet-and-greet on November 26, agreed to meet on December 12 to organize for the next 10th OEK. All senators-elects were present at that meeting except for senator-elects Frank Kyota, Hokkons Baules and Aric Nakamura.
The senate line-up, which has long been a talk of the town, has had various names mentioned as potential senate president or vice president. Earlier rumors marked current Senate President Chin as continuing his reign into the 10th government. Other rumors had the new senator-elects line up with senator-elect Dr. Stevenson Kuartei as President, Incumbent and senator-elect Mason Whipps as senate VP and Delegate and senator-elect Frank Kyota as Floor leader.
