On Friday January 17, 2025, PPUC CEO Frank Kyota and Preparatory Survey Team Leader Mr. Yokota Yoshiaki signed the minutes of Discussion of the Preparatory Survey on the Project for the Improvement of Water Supply System in Koror and Airai.

The objective of the Project is to reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW) and strengthen the management capacity of water supply services by promoting digitalization with renewal of water distribution pipelines and installation of smart meters in Koror and Airai, thereby contributing to the realization of water supply resilience against drought caused by climate change and other factors.

This Preparatory Survey is part of the grant aid application process. A comprehensive report will then be submitted to the Japan Government for approval. PPUC remains optimistic about a positive outcome, which will pave the way for the timely execution of the initiative.
